Today was a very emotional day. We spent the day with the Birth Mom and stayed with her until she signed all the papers.. She left today and headed back home already to be with her family. She is an amazing women and mother. She loves Zackary so much she was willing to let us adopt him to give him oppurtunities that she couldn't give him and it gives her oppurtunities that she couldn't have if she kept him. It makes me cry just thinking about her hugging me and kissing Zak and then walking out the door. It has emotion it is hard for me to describe.. Baby Zak has to stay one more day and will be discharged in the morning and then we can head home.. I got to just sit all afternoon and hold him.. We had some people come visit and it is so wonderful, I was in heaven.. He is changing by the minute. I can't wait to get him home with the other kids and have our family together again.. Tomorrow we are heading home with our new son...

congratulations!! i'm so thrilled for you guys! it is so tender to say goodbye to the birthmother. i remember giving quincy's birthmother a big hug goodbye when we were leaving the hospital and feeling like nothing i could do or say would thank her enough or let her know how much we love her. it is such an amazing process and zak's birthmother will be so blessed because she followed what she knew was right. zak is adorable! i love how straight his hair is right now. :) i bet the rest of the family is dying for you guys to get home!!
